The design concept of the men’s longsleeve “Rommel” is dedicated to the historical personality of the German General field Marshal Erwin Rommel, commander of the tank group “AFRIKA” in 1941-1943 in North Africa during World war II. Rommel’s military successes and talents reached such heights that opponents of the German army in Africa – British soldiers – considered him a Superman with supernatural abilities. The command of the British army was forced to take historically unparalleled special measures of psychological impact on their soldiers to “all possible ways to dispel the idea that Rommel is something more than an ordinary German General.”
The inscription on the front “Erwin Rommel Desert Fox” translates as “Erwin Rommel the Fox of the desert”. Field Marshal Rommel himself is depicted in the upper left corner of the front print. On the back is a print of a palm tree with the inscription “DAK “(“German corps “Africa”). Sleeve patch is made of dark yellow thread and sewn to the sleeve, it says “Afrika”.
